Great house in a stunning location We had a fabulous family break here, the house is spacious and well appointed with the most stunning views over Loch Creran. The hot tub (also with those gorgeous views) was a great bonus and well used over our stay. It is a beautiful area with fantastic cycle ways and walks right on your doorstep, and the Loch is great for paddle boarding & kayaking. We visited Oban a few times and had a wonderful meal at the fish restaurant Eeusk so would highly recommend this. All in all a lovely property, in a great location, perfect both for relaxing and for visiting many of Scotland’s landmarks.

Fabulous base for our 1 week holiday. This has been a fabulous base for our 1 week holiday. We are all impressed by the layout and quality of the lodge , which was comfortable for our family group of 5. Like all previous guests we loved the view. We were very lucky to have warm and sunny weather throughout , allowing for days out including a trip on the Jacobite express ; a 3 islands West coast Tours' trip to Mull , Staffa and Iona ; and a visit to the Sealife Centre nearby. Also we enjoyed walks along the beach here collecting seashells and relaxing. Our 5 year old Grandson spotted a deer crossing the property at 6 o clock one morning. The hot tub was amazing and we used it every day.

Idilic views, lovely accommodation If you are looking for a bit of comfort & quiet this place is for you. The property is finished very well, the beds are comfortable & there is a good bathroom to bed ratio. Excellent facilities for someone with limited mobility (wet room & 2 ground floor bedrooms) but would not need that to be a consideration to make good use of this property. The kitchen had everything you would need and the utility was a helpful facility when coping with children and the Scottish climate! Initially a little tricky to find as it's not easily viewable driving out on the road - I'd advise taking a picture of the property and expect to spot it when doubling back. There is some lorry traffic along the road but it didn't cause us an issue, although to be aware if you are taking children or animals out to the Koch or walking. There's only one tv (in the main living area) which might be a consideration if you are bringing older children, but the hot tub more than made up for it for us! And those views... just stunning.

Beautiful house in a perfect location 6 of us (2 couples and 2 small children) stayed at Sandy's lovely lodge for a week in August. We enjoyed every moment at the house, as well as in Oban and the surrounding areas. The house had everything we could have wanted and more- a perfect home away from home for both adults and children. The view out the sliding doors is stunning and we spent much time just watching the weather come in over the mountains. Walking by the loch was fun for the kids (and adults), and we did day trips to Oban, Inveraray, and the isles. If we ever find ourselves back in the area, I hope to stay again!

Perfect location! A lovely house with the best views we have ever had, overlooking the loch and across to the snow capped mountains, my husband was so impressed he wants to buy it! After a long day hiking, running and mountain biking (not all on the same day!) sitting in the hot tub looking across the loch was bliss! The house is well appointed with quality crockery, bedding, towels and furniture and has everything you might need. Be warned the is no wardrobe in the master bedroom so you may have to negotiate hanging space with the bedroom next door, a further chest of drawers would also have been useful. The house accommodates 8, however I think 6 is more realistic unless 2 are children, we bought 3 dogs with us so a larger utility would have been useful as ours normally sleep outside, this would also have been useful for storing bikes but we bought bike covers to keep off the rain. The loch is just across the little road at the end of the drive and the dogs loved waking along the shoreline, if we come back we will bring a kayak. As it is winter we didn’t have the opportunity to open up the sliding doors out onto the deck but I can imagine this would be lovely in the summer. The location is perfect only 20 mins into Oban, with a leisure centre for Gym, squash swimming etc and good restaurants for eating out. Also ferries across to Mull, Iona easy to access. There is a little shop in Benderloch a couple of miles away for milk, papers etc. The Tesco in Oban has a click and collect service, we picked ours up on the way and even though we were early we checked at the store and we were able to collect it, saving a trip back later. Tip: Bring flip flops so that you can totter out to the hot tub. Binoculars for spotting wildlife we saw an otter and a seal whilst out walking on the beach

Great Location, Great Farmhouse This was a three night stay with 7 friends to celebrate a 60th birthday. We ate in on 2 nights. The farmhouse was perfect for this as the large kitchen and open plan dining allowed us all to socialise and cook at the same time. The living area accommodated us all easily and the log fire was toasty. Bedrooms were all well appointed, clean and comfortable and the farmhouse had everything that we needed....particularly 2 fridges to keep the champagne chilled! The location is stunning. We had great weather with cold mornings at -5 degC so the views were crisp and clear. Lots of lovely walking locally for the experienced and novice hill climbers. We went to the Isle of Eriska Hotel for their taster menu with matched wines - excellent if not a little expensive! Overall, a very fine weekend was enjoyed by all. The owner communicated well and left us to get on with it but was there should we have need any help. I would thoroughly recommend

Excellent Seven of us stayed for the weekend. Nothing we could fault and the owner was just lovely. Jusy a lovely experience overall. Felt very safe. Clean, warm and comprehensive in equipment and white goods. We didn't leave once but to walk down to the loch and castle. Perfect when you need time away in a lovely remote location but a short hop to resteraunts and oban if that is needed.Hot tub was the best addition and the bbq perfect. First self catering I would return to in a minute.

Excellent, beautiful, calm and tranquil and beautiful house and surroundings Amazing cottage, excellent build and quality and the most serene and calming surroundings. Just what was needed. Clean, modern and well planned / thought out layout. Couple of local restaurants / highly recommended fish and chip shop in a campsite makes things easier if you fancy a night off from cooking also. Amazing time and would love to come back.
